Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

What is rTMS?

rTMS is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique that uses electromagnetic induction to stimulate neural activity in the brain. A magnetic coil placed on the scalp generates pulses that pass through the skull and activate specific regions of the cerebral cortex, helping regulate brain function.

Depending on the clinical need, rTMS can either stimulate underactive areas or inhibit overactive regions—helping to improve a range of mental health conditions. Compared to traditional medication, rTMS has minimal systemic side effects.

This treatment has been approved by the U.S. FDA, EU CE, and Taiwan TFDA for use in conditions such as depression, among others.
rTMS can be used alone or in combination with medication and psychotherapy, with treatment plans tailored to the individual to achieve the best possible outcome.
